Sex and Bike

What can sex and bike possibly have in common? Though it seems to be funny biking may influence our sex life in a quite negative way. No matter how much we enjoy it there are things to be considered no matter how ridiculous they seem to be. It is proven women who ride a bike on a regular bases have their senses significantly decreased in their pelvic region.

How can this happen? It sounds so simple but it is dependent on the height of the handlebars. The negative effect will take place if they are adjusted in the same level or lower than the actual seat.

This position creates an increased demand on nerves and especially on our blood circulation.

The above studies were undertaken on almost fifty women who rode bike daily for at least ten kilometres per week.

The genital sensitivity rapidly decreased once the handlebars were located lower than the seat.

It was also confirmed using the latest measuring equipment. Although this fact has been known for some time the reasons behind it were not studied in greater depth.

What about our men?

It is known for a while a long term biking may cause erectile dysfunction. In case of men this depends largely on the shape of the seat and the amount of time spent on it.

The fact women may have a similar problem from bike riding came as a surprise. It is due to decreased sensitivity in pelvic region as a result of pressures caused by spending excessive time in this position.

In other words it means we need to watch out for our posture even while enjoying regular rides.

Correct adjustments and riding techniques will minimize any trauma on our nervous system. This is impervious if we want to look after our sexual health in the best possible way.
