I had a tight vagina (opens new window) but not anymore.
After giving birth to two children things have changed. There is no feeling of having penis inside me anymore. The friction is gone.
This is a common complaint of many women. After giving birth it takes vagina many weeks, months or even years to get tight again.
And for some it simply never happens.
Making love under these conditions may often end tragically. A woman, she says, after having three children, she felt nothing during sex.
Her husband came to a conclusion he can't satisfy his wife and he avoided sex completely.
Any sexologist can confirm this is very common and couples should know what to expect.
Going to more extreme a husband found himself a lover, a much younger woman. He was open about it and told his wife she's was not good enough for him anymore. He needed tight vagina.
And that he could find it in her younger lover. No need to explain how his wife felt about it.
Giving birth is not always a problem when it comes to lost feeling. Erectile dysfunction which becomes more frequent above the age of forty will cause the same problem.
It is important couples talk about these problems and solve them together. A visit to a sexologist
is highly recommended.
There are several possibilities. For erectile dysfunction (in an addition to visiting your doctor) there is a lot of information included in
Male Sexuality (opens new window).
Women, in extreme case choose vaginoplasty. The most common procedure is narrowing (tightening) the entrance of the vagina.
Before you even think about surgery, consider strengthening pelvic muscles by exercising them.
I recommend you to do these exercises almost daily, before and after the child birth.
They are called Kegels and they are great for both women and men.
Men will have much harder erections while women can tighten their vagina with a great force.
You will find How To Do Kegel Exercises (opens new window)
